The Cole Creek Fire that ravaged Evansville yesterday is still burning this morning, and officials are reporting that the blaze is about 50 percent contained at this time. An accurate size of the grass fire that has engulfed multiple structures has yet to be determined, but it is believed to be several thousand acres.

The Soldier’s House of Fremont County Veterans gathering was a success … if you missed it, there’s one on Thursday!
(Riverton, Wyo.) – Yesterday was the first of two veteran gatherings at the Soldier’s House of Fremont County in Riverton. Several families attended, and besides consuming 29 burgers and a bunch of brats, veterans and their families were treated to an Open House and conversations around the Soldier’s House support network.
The Soldier’s House of Fremont County is hosting two veteran’s gatherings this week with an open house and barbecue. There will be bratwurst, burgers and non-alcoholic beverages for pre and post-9/11 veterans.
Come Celebrate Local Foods and the Year of the Soil at Local Fest happening October 14-18 at the Lander Community and Convention Center! This is an event for anyone who enjoys locally grown food.
